Award-winning choreographer Richard Marcel is renowned as one of the UK’s most innovative talents in dance and movement for TV, film, commercials, and theatre.

His extensive expertise in various dance styles, combined with his exceptional music and production skills, has led him to work with some of the world’s biggest stars, including Madonna, Kylie Minogue, The Spice Girls, Diana Ross, George Michael, Liza Minnelli, Tom Jones, Sienna Miller, and Olivia Colman.

As the UK’s leading Salsa choreographer, Richard’s deep expertise in authentic Latin music and dance has taken him to teach and perform across the globe, from the USA, Japan, Spain and Australia. He was also commissioned to work in Havana, Cuba, with top music and dance artists, which gave him a unique perspective on the origins and evolution of Afro Cuban dance.

Richard’s TV credits include Salsa choreographer for BBC Strictly Come Dancing and So You Think You Can Dance. He also choreographed the hit Salsa feature film Cuban Fury. For stage, his Salsa credits include Burn the Floor, Riverdance: Heartbeat of Home, and he directed and choreographed the international Latin show Conga in Monaco.

His masterclasses will be designed specifically for pro and advanced dancers, offering an in-depth look at the rhythms, technique, and musicality of Salsa with a special emphasis on TV, film, and stage performances.

He will focus on building confidence, technical precision, and creativity, helping dancers to approach Salsa and Latin dance with ease and authenticity.
